Ceftiofur is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ceftiofur inhibits the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, thus exhibiting bactericidal properties.
It is active against the following microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Acrobacterium pyogenes and Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum, Porphyromonas spp. and Prevoletta spp.
Binding of ceftiofur and its main metabolite to plasma proteins is approximately 70-90%. One hour after a single dose of ceftiofur, its plasma concentration exceeds 1 μg/ml. The maximum plasma concentration (almost 5 μg/ml) is reached approximately 12 hours after administration. The total plasma concentration of ceftiofur and its active metabolites in the amount of 0.2 μg/ml is maintained for 7 days, and the concentration of 1 μg/ml - for 4 days.

Before use, shake the vial thoroughly for 30 seconds or until a homogeneous emulsion is formed.
Method of administration:
1. Holding the syringe, inject the needle subcutaneously behind the animal's ear so that the needle and syringe point in the direction of an imaginary line that runs through the head to the opposite eye of the animal.
2. Precautions for subcutaneous injection should be taken, such as firmly securing the head (use a chute or hold the head firmly) and using the correct size needle, e.g. 2.54 cm long and 16 gauge.
If clinical signs do not resolve within 48 hours of the injection, the diagnosis and treatment should be reconsidered.

Subcutaneously in a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 30 kg of animal body weight (equivalent to 6.6 mg of ceftiofur per 1 kg of body weight), once in the ear area.
The injection volume should not exceed 30 ml per injection site.
The therapeutic effect lasts for 7 days after the injection.

Store in a dry, dark place out of the reach of children at a temperature between 15 °C and 25 °C.
After the first withdrawal from the vial, the drug should be used within 28 days, provided it is stored at a temperature between 5 °C and 25 °C.
